Training in Schools

Grant funding is available for Bikeability levels 1-3 in schools. It is easy to arrange and means cycle training for your pupils is either free or heavily subsidised.

Bikeability

Bikeability level 1 takes place on the playground and is for KS1 riders year 3 and 4.

Bikeability level 2 trains children to use local roads alongside traffic.

Bikeability level 3 is for confident and experienced independent road riders to develop their skills further.

Bikeability plus

Cycle4Life can also offer Balance Bike training and learn to ride sessions.

one to one sessions

We love to get people cycling. From little ones learning to ride their first bike to adults going green and commuting, we are here to help on your cycling journey.

We can also offer tailored support for those wanting to explore off-road/ mountain biking, route planning or rusty riders wanting to get back on the saddle again.

cycle Training for organisations, clubs and groups

From fun bike sessions for the local scout group to cycle skills to help employees commute, we can tailor cycle sessions to meet your groups needs.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

When you book training with us we make sure you are getting the most suitable training for your riders requirements. We set you up with everything you may need pre, during and post course. A dedicated instructor will also work as a co-ordinator for you and will be available to support the school from start to finish.

Bikeability courses are provided with:

Templated paperwork for the school to use
Certificates and badges at the end of the course
Loan of ‘Hi-Viz’ tabards during session
Detailed on road Risk Assessments

We may also be able to provide:

Loan bikes (subject to availability)
Follow up training for children and parents

Special educational needs

Cycle training is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn in the great outdoors away from the classroom. Our inclusive courses are designed to bring out the best in every individual student. All our riders are unique and benefit from different learning styles and techniques and they will all progress at a different pace. Our instructors are SEND trained and we adapt and plan our dynamic sessions around our talented students so they all get the chance to shine.
