We're running free community cycle sessions in Leighton Buzzard for every generation over the summer. 

Big Green Week 

Free adult and child learn to ride lessons in June as part of Big Green Week. 

14th June 26 between 1-3 pm at Astral Park pavillion. Email becky@cycle4life.org to book your place. 

Big Bike Revival - free cycling events  

 We are hosting a series of free community cycling events in Leighton Buzzard for adults as part of the Big Bike Revival this summer.  Learn to cycle, discover new routes, ways to commute and learn how to fix your bike at home. 

Learn to Fix drop in sessions - Sat 13th June  9 -2 pm at Leighton Buzzard market

Womens social ride - 26th July 10 - 11.30 am. 

A leisurely cycle ride along the river and canal with a coffee stop at the end. 

Meet at the propeller monument, Bridge Street, LU7 1AH  at 10. 

Adult Learn to Ride - 2nd August 2 pm. 

A chance to learn the basics of cycling alongside peers in a no pressure and supportive adult class.  

 Astral Park car park (outside pavillion) LU7 4AY at 2 pm. 

Useful cycle routes in Leighton Buzzard - led ride/guide (useful routes from new estates) - 8th Aug 4pm

Discover some lovely routes from the new estates in the North East of town into the centre and beyond. Minimising time on roads and discovering cycling infrastructure. 

Meet in car park of new Leisure Centre, Pursuit Way, LU7 3SS

Learn to fix bookable workshop session - Sun 16th August 11 am The Stag, Mentmore

Learn how to repair punctures and inner tubes, basic brake adjustments,  how gears work, when a mechanic needed. Coffee and tea provded. 

Useful routes in Leighton Buzzard - led ride/guide (Linslade to new Leisure centre) - 9th Aug 4-5 pm 

Discover the quickest and easiest route by bike from Tiddenfoot over to the new leisure centre. Minimise time on roads and discover cycling infrastructure. 

Meet in car park of Tiddenfoot lake LU7 2AE  at 4 pm. 

Fix plus cycle - 11th August 2-3.30 pm The Hare, Linslade 

Run through of fix basics then a mini session teaching the basics of riding on the road alongside traffic correctly. A great opportunity for parents of Bikeability graduates. 

Adult road cycling skills (grown up Bikeability) - 23rd August 4-5 pm meet Southcott Green opposite The Hare pub

Rusty Riders - guided ride and tips for returners  - Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2 - 3.30 pm 

A chance to take a slow supported cycle with instructors offering hints and tips to improve your bike skills.
